About Carolyn

Carolyn is an international colour expert & educator who delivers education around the world through the Carolyn Newman Academy. Carolyn creates her inspired colour work at the super cool creative hub, Electric Space, London.
Her extensive experience as an educator and mentor to colourists of all levels, combined with her ability to develop trends and techniques, makes her perfectly placed to be leading the way in technical education.
Client friendly techniques, consultation and business education is available to all levels of hairdressers and to salon owners and manufacturers who can choose from a portfolio of standard courses that Carolyn has created, or she can devise bespoke courses based on specific requirements. Through her senior salon management experience, she can also create a consultancy package for your salon to support you and your team on your specific business requirements.
She is perhaps best known for her role as Colour & Education Director with Charles Worthington salons. Carolyn’s career spans over 35 years and has entailed her educating all over the globe and in salon representing brands.

With a CV that includes being in the first ever FAME team for The Fellowship for British Hairdressing; winning the Most Wanted Colour Expert award in 2012; regular magazine coverage in the likes of Vogue, Marie Claire, Hello and Tatler, and TV appearances on This Morning, Working Lunch, GMTV, BBC The Club, Granada Breeze and 10 Years Younger.
As well as education and colour appointments Carolyn is an experienced speaker and is available to present at your event or conference. Carolyn is delighted to also be a part of the Hairdotcom Art Team. She has been appointed as Education Manager, making her a valued and active member of the team. Carolyn is so keen and delighted to showcase her experiences and skills to all hairdressers and to all her clients and can’t wait to meet you soon.
